Arrive breathe in feel good...

Enjoy your holiday right at the foot of the Zugspitze, surrounded by mighty mountain ranges such as the Lechtal and Ammergau Alps and the Wetterstein Mountains. Numerous hiking trails and mountain bike routes as well as indoor activities such as tennis, swimming in the family pool or climbing will make your holiday an unforgettable experience. 

Our Haus Marion is very centrally located in the centre of Ehrwald: not only is the bus stop for the free (with guest card) round bus within easy walking distance, but also various grocery and sports shops, butcher's, bakery, farm shop with regional products and several restaurants are in the immediate vicinity of our flat house. 

Between 1911 and 1920, Marion's great-grandfather was mayor of Ehrwald. At that time, the mayor's office, the so-called ‘Gemeindestube’, was also located in this house. When Marion's grandfather inherited the house, he and Marion's grandmother built three guest rooms on the first floor. At that time, they mainly accommodated guests from Bavaria. Among them was often the famous Munich comedian Liesl Karlstadt (Karl Valentin's stage partner). Marion's grandfather took Liesl Karlstadt to the Auerhahnpfalz (he was a farmer and hunter) to celebrate this experience with a good bacon breakfast in the cosy parlour. A former mayor of Ehrwald knew the history of the house and came with two Munich photographers who took pictures of the - now famous - parlour. These pictures can now be seen in the Karl Valentin Museum in Munich.

Of course, our two flats have been renovated several times in the meantime and now offer cosiness and comfort in a modern ambience! The two flats can also be booked together and a connecting door turns them into a cosy family flat for up to 5 adults or 4 adults and 2 children. We offer you a free car park directly in front of the house. Pets are allowed on request. Bread roll service is possible.
